Solis EPM-5G (EPM1-5G / EPM3-5G-PRO) is a new-generation intelligent export power manager for dynamically regulating solar power plant output. It balances inverter generation against on-site consumption in real time, preventing unauthorised export to the public grid (Zero Export) and maximising self-consumption.

Overview
Solis EPM-5G is a high-precision 5G-series energy management controller developed for residential, commercial and industrial sites. The range includes the single-phase Solis-EPM1-5G (for residential and small solar power plants) and the three-phase Solis-EPM3-5G-PRO (for C&I sites, capable of controlling groups of Solis inverters simultaneously).
The device connects to current transformers (CTs) at the incoming supply and continuously monitors the site's electricity consumption. When surplus solar generation occurs, the EPM-5G sends power-reduction commands to Solis inverters over the RS485 bus (response time up to 5 s, control accuracy up to 1%). This makes it possible to comply precisely with grid operator limits without shutting down the entire solar power plant.
The module features a built-in LCD display for viewing grid and generation parameters, supports external data loggers (Wi-Fi, 4G, LAN) for sending analytics to SolisCloud, comes in an all-weather IP65 enclosure and offers failsafe protection and reactive power compensation.

Frequently asked questions

Start from the site's average daily consumption and the peak load the inverter has to carry in off-grid mode. The power range of each modification and the recommended PV array size for it are listed in the product card under "Key specifications" — for a precise selection, contact a Solis dealer or use the form below.

The list of validated batteries is published on the product page — in the compatible-equipment section, where one has already been compiled for that model. The voltage range (LV or HV, depending on the series) is stated in the technical specifications either way. If there is no list, or the battery you need is not on it, contact the Solis Ukraine technical department — compatibility should be confirmed separately.

Most Solis hybrid and off-grid inverters support connecting a generator with automatic start-up when the battery is discharged. Whether a specific model has this function, and how it is wired, is stated under "Key features" and in the "Technical specifications" table of the product card.

It depends on the series: single-phase models are designed for a 220 V grid, three-phase models for 380/400 V. The exact connection type for a given product is stated in the "Grid phases" card under "Key specifications".

Solis equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which in Ukraine is administered by official dealers and authorised service centres. The exact term and conditions are stated on the warranty card and on the device's rating plate — for registration and the claim procedure, see the Support section.
